NIGHT SHIFT MAINTENANCE MANAGER – SCRAP METAL

 Our Client,  a renowned leader in the Recycling Services industry, dedicated to promoting environmental sustainability and responsible waste management practices.We pride ourselves on our efficient operations and dedicated team, and we're looking for a skilled Night Shift Maintenance Manager to join their growing team based in the Blacktown area. Position Overview:  As the Night Shift Maintenance Manager, you will oversee the maintenance operations of our scrap metal yard during the night shift. Your primary responsibilities will include ensuring the safety and functionality of all equipment, managing maintenance staff, and implementing proactive maintenance strategies to minimize downtime. Position Brief below Permanent Full time position Mon - Fri  7pm - 5:30am  & Saturday work twice a month Salary range $155 - $160k+ Superannuation + $25K Night shift allowance + $20k Car allowance ASAP start for Successful applicantMust be able to work weekends when required Key Responsibilities:Supervise and lead the maintenance team during the night shift.Conduct regular inspections of equipment and machinery to ensure proper functioning.Staff and performance management continuous improvement of maintenance proceduresDevelop and implement preventive maintenance schedules and procedures.Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues in a timely manner.Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.Coordinate with vendors for repairs and parts procurement.Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.Train and mentor maintenance staff on best practices and safety protocols. To be considered for this role, applicants will possess the following: Australian Recognised Trade Qualifications (mechanical) Previous experience / Knowledge working on heavy mobile and fixed plant maintenance including loaders, excavators, crushers, Screens, Shredders ,mills Proven experience in maintenance management, preferably in a scrap metal or Heavy industrial environment.Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure.Familiarity with safety regulations in the scrap metal industry is a plus.Availability to work night shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.  Please note ONLY short listed Applicants will be contacted    Australia - NSW Sydney Parramatta & Western Suburbs
