Freezer Forklift Operator – Day & Afternoon shifts Available

Our clients, Leaders in the Cold Storage and Distribution industry currently have multiple vacant positions available for experienced Forklift Operators to join their team located in PEMULWUY, SMITHFIELD AND YENNORA.Transport & Logistics sector, therefore previous experience within a fast-paced working environment is essential.Monday - Friday (possible Weekends where required)Start times: Dayshift: 4am, 5:30am & 6am starts Rate - $35 + allowances Start times: Afternoon shift: 11am, 12pm & 1:30pmRate - $38.08 + allowances IMMEDIATE START for the right applicantsThe role involves but will not be limited to:Operation of Crown Forklift - High Reach Double Deep (Desirable)Operation of Counterbalance Forklifts and Electric Pallet JacksPrevious experience working in a Freezer / Chiller environmentStock rotation, putaways  and replenishmentUsage of pallet wrapping machinesLoading and Unloading TrucksGeneral warehousing dutiesAd hoc duties as requiredTo be considered for this role you MUST:Hold a current LF Forklift LicenceExperience working in a Cold Storage -28 environment is a MUSTPrevious experience with 7- 9 bays highHave minimum 2 years' experience within a similar industry or roleDesirable experience with High Reach Forklifts and double deepModerate communication skills both written and verballyBe Physically fit as some roles will involve heavy liftingHave your OWN reliable transportBe flexible with work hours shift times may varyBe reliable and punctualRF Scanning (preferred but not essential) As per the application process, all successful applicants will be required to undergo a Pre Employment Medical (conducted by our Onsite Occupational Nurse during the interview stage) which includes a Drug and Alcohol test. The role involves but will not be limited to:

  • Operation of Crown Forklift - High Reach Double Deep (Desirable)
  • Operation of Counterbalance Forklifts and Electric Pallet Jacks
  • Previous experience working in a Freezer / Chiller environment
  • Stock rotation, putaways  and replenishment
  • Usage of pallet wrapping machines
  • Loading and Unloading Trucks
  • General warehousing duties
  • Ad hoc duties as required

To be considered for this role you MUST:

  • Hold a current LF Forklift Licence
  • Experience working in a Cold Storage -28 environment is a MUST
  • Previous experience with 7- 9 bays high
  • Have minimum 2 years' experience within a similar industry or role
  • Desirable experience with High Reach Forklifts and double deep
  • Moderate communication skills both written and verbally
  • Be Physically fit as some roles will involve heavy lifting
  • Have your OWN reliable transport
  • Be flexible with work hours shift times may vary
  • Be reliable and punctual
  • RF Scanning (preferred but not essential)
